ClearView dynamically creates Input Templates and Data Submission Sheets. No programming is necessary.
A Mapping Tool allows any dimension value combination for data write back. ClearView validates the mapping values and highlights any errors it finds.
The mapping cells can be hidden from view using normal Excel features. Mapping can be conditional, such that users can first select paging dimensions from drop down lists.
Not all rows and columns need to be mapped. The query may refresh many rows of data, while only some are mapped for writeback. The writeback does not need to go back to the FDI used for the query. Additionally, there can be Excel formulas in the worksheet used to calculate numbers that finally are written back. The input template layout can be designed for ease of use. Time does not have to be in the Across position. Up to 150 input columns are supported, and the number of rows is limited only by the capacity of Excel.
ClearView sends a notification message when submission tasks are complete. Users can then refresh reports to see the new values.
A Task Processor features allows users to monitor their tasks, similar to the OFA Task Processor. Input and output files can be selected and viewed by double-clicking on their names. Task logs can be similarly viewed.
